MAN-1 wasn't created by a marketing department or an investor looking to make a quick buck. It was built by real people who believe men's health has become unnecessarily complicated and that the health of men really matters. Different experiences brought us together. Our shared mission and standards keep us moving in the same direction.

Why we built man-1

it started with a simple question

If we were building a daily health product for the men we care about most...

How could we ensure it fits into the lives of every man.

What would we put in it?

More importantly...

What would we leave out?

That question became the genesis of MAN-1.

A foundational health drink built around evidence, experience and the belief that better health begins with stronger foundations.

why it matters

Too many men wait until something goes wrong before they start looking after their health.

And that has consequences for everyone.

We believe it should never get to that point.

Looking after yourself as a man isn't vanity.

It isn't selfish.

It's one of the greatest responsibilities you'll ever have.

Because the stronger and healthier you are, the more you can give to the people who matter most.

Building a Community

Mike Bates is a former Royal Marines Commando, Covert Ops Leader, Ocean Rower and founder of one of the UK's largest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academies.
Mike's drive for MAN-1 is focussed on building a movement for better men's health which connects men, reinvigorates their potential and reshapes their identity in mid-life and creates the conditions for the whole of society to benefit as a result.
At home Mike likes to cook for his family and support his two teenage son's in pursuing their own goals on the football pitch and on the pathway towards the military.

Creating a World-Class Product

Jay's life's work sits deep in the details of creating formulations within the supplement and nutrition space. Jay founded and scaled PhD Nutrition to become one of the leading forces in the supplement market prior to exiting in 2017.
Having trained in the gym his whole life, Jay now helps to coach his two children to help them reach their athletic potential.

Jade brings a wealth of experience in leading on design, marketing and customer engagement for brands across the retail sector.
A proud mum of two young children, Jade enjoys competing in functional fitness races and HYROX.
Rosie

Storyteller

Social Media Lead

With decades of experience delivering digital marketing outcomes within the charity sector, Rosie brings a wealth of experience and energy to the MAN-1 team.
When not telling the story of our MAN-1 mission, Rosie runs her own fitness coaching business and gives back to her community by coaching children Jiu Jitsu.
Rosie's interests include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, lifting weights and of course her beautiful family.
